How does the FD Calculator work?

You simply enter the principal amount, the interest rate offered by your bank, and the deposit tenure. The calculator then uses the compound interest formula to show you the total maturity value and the interest earned.

Is the FD Calculator’s result 100% accurate?

The FD calculator provides an estimate based on the information you enter. Actual returns may vary depending on your bank’s policies, compounding intervals, tax deductions, and any changes in interest rates.

Can I use the FD Calculator for both cumulative and non-cumulative FDs?

Yes. For cumulative FDs, the calculator adds interest to the principal periodically. For non-cumulative FDs, it can show the interest payout per month, quarter, or year.

Does the FD Calculator account for TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)?

Most basic FD calculators do not deduct TDS by default. If you want post-tax returns, you need to manually factor in your tax slab or use a calculator that includes tax features.
